I chose to redo the face so I flatened it and laid down the features again. My great attention to correct proportions resulted in less character. I have to let it dry now to inject some life into the dancer.

Dancer - Now and Later
This how my dancer is now. I am more or less happy with the background and composition, but the position and expression of the head does not satisfy me.
I played around in photoshop on the photograph of my painting to see what I wanted to change.
